Todd Fletcher, vice president of Western Operations for Life Care Centers of America, prepares to cut the ribbon.

On March 15, 2018, Cottesmore of Life Care in Gig Harbor, Washington, hosted a ribbon-cutting for its new rehab wing.

Leaders from the community, the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the facility and its parent company, Life Care Centers of America, were on hand for the special event, which included a reception with hors d’oeuvres prepared by the chef at Harbor Place at Cottesmore. Associates also gave tours to guests.

“Cottesmore of Life Care has a long, storied history in the Gig Harbor community and is excited to add approximately 13,000 square feet of rehabilitation space to complement our state-of-the art therapy gym in an effort to better meet the needs of our younger geriatric population and their respective rehabilitation needs,” said Raymond Thompson, executive director.

The new unit features 13 private suites with their own showers, six spacious shared rooms, a spa, an activity room and a rehab dining room.

“We want to thank our community for attending our ribbon-cutting and supporting Cottesmore on this big event,” said Jodi Davis, Cottesmore liaison.

The new wing opened to patients the third week of April.
